Student Learning Outcomes:
Upon completion of this course:
1. Students will be able to evaluate and discuss the historical, social, and political nature of secondary education within a pluralistic, capitalist society through readings, discussions, and application of a supervised field experience.
2. Students will be able to identify cultural, racial, and gender differences and how these differences relate to education and society as a whole through systematic discussions.
3. Students will be able to analyze the relationship between educational theory and the application in practice by examining, describing, and critiquing current trends and issues in secondary education.
