GEOG 607 - Advanced GIS Analyses (4 units) Advanced tools, data management, and functions in geographic information systems (GIS) (ArcGIS); topics in spatial data analysis, 3d-visualization, and modeling of geographic information science (GISci).
Units of Lecture: 3 Units of Laboratory/Studio: 1 Offered Every Fall Student Learning Outcomes (if available): Upon completion of this course: 1. Students will be able to define what constitutes a spatial analysis using GIS. 2. Students will be able to discuss how GIS technology is implemented and the ArcGIS 10.3 software framework. 3. Students will be able to complete research-based analysis utilizing main-stream GIS technology to address a scientific topic of societal concern.
