JOUR 490A - Special Problems (1 to 3 units)
Pursuit of a special interest in journalism. Maximum of 6 credits in special problems courses.
Offered: Every Fall and Spring
Student Learning Outcomes:
Upon completion of this course:
1. Students will be able to define and describe a significant issue in journalism and mass communication.
2. Students will be able to identify major media scholars and practitioners of importance to a particular media issue and assess their influence.
3. Students will be able to demonstrate in-depth knowledge of a particular media issue.
