CHE 474 - Air Pollution Control Engineering (3 units) Sources and quantification of air pollution; effects of air pollution; relevant statutory regulations; contemporary air pollution control technologies; system design; dispersion modeling.
Prerequisite(s): Upper division standing in engineering.
Units of Lecture: 3 Student Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of this course: 1. Students will have an ability to apply knowledge of mathematics, science, and engineering. 2. Students will have an ability to design and conduct experiments, as well as to analyze and interpret data. 3. Students will have an ability to design a system, component, or process to meet desired needs within realistic constraints such as economic, environmental, social, political, ethical, health and safety, manufacturability, and sustainability. 4. Students will have an ability to function on multidisciplinary teams. 5. Students will have an ability to identify, formulate, and solve engineering problems. 6. Students will have an understanding of professional and ethical responsibility. 7. Students will have an ability to communicate effectively. 8.
