CHS 492 - Independent Study In HE

Guided research in health ecology that is of mutual interest to the student and faculty. Maximum of 6 credits. (Formerly HE/PUBH 492/692; implementation Fall 2009)

Student Learning Outcomes:
Upon completion of this course:
1. Students will be able to read and critically evaluate relevant scientific literature in the specific topic area of the section taken.
2. Students will be able to describe factors that affect health of individuals and populations from an ecological perspective.
3. Students will be able to summarize current research and critically review the literature pertaining to a research project.
4. Students will be able to discuss public health ethical considerations in the specific topic area of the section taken.
