HDFS 390 - Youth Mentoring (3 units) Contemporary issues examined through reading, theoretical grounding and practical experience in a one-to-one mentoring relationship. Maximum of 6 credits.
Prerequisite(s): Junior or senior standing is required for registration in upper-division human development and family studies courses.
Units of Lecture: 1 Units of Internship/Practicum: 2 Student Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of this course: 1. Students will be able to demonstrate knowledge of mentoring through a combination of readings, reading discussion, writing papers, and field experience in a one-to-one mentoring relationship.
