Latino Research Center

Established in 2004, the Center functions as a unit of the Department of World Languages and Literatures and addresses issues that affect the Latino population of Nevada and the United States. The primary role of the Center is to conduct and disseminate research that has an impact on the Latino community and to administer outreach programs that aid in recruiting Latino students to pursue a university education and future career paths. The center draws on many disciplines across campus, supports and publishes research, sponsors guest lectures, and works as an advocate for Latino issues.
