University Tutoring Center

The University Tutoring Center offers a variety of services to help students excel academically. Peer tutors help students develop study skills, understand concepts, and increase self-confidence. Types of tutoring include:
FREE TUTORING SERVICES
- Walk-In Labs provide tutors who can tutor a large array of classes including accounting, economics, math, physics, the sciences and more. Walk-in labs are held in two different locations: the DeLaMare Library (Mon-Fri: 10am-4pm), and the University Tutoring Center (Sun: 4pm-9pm and Mon. through Thurs. 6pm-9pm). Check our website for schedules and courses tutored.
- Small group tutoring sessions meet weekly with 2-5 students in the same class. Students must call (784-6801) or visit the Tutoring Center to schedule group sessions.
- Nevada Peer-Assisted Study Sessions (PASS) is provided in traditionally difficult courses. PASS Leaders attend class, work closely with the instructor and PASS Supervisor, and facilitate four hours of open PASS sessions a week and additional reviews before tests. The schedule of sessions can be found on our website.
- One-on-one appointments are 50-minute sessions with a trained peer tutor. Together, you and your tutor focus on your specific concerns for a specific course. Check our website to schedule an appointment. If you miss two appointments you will be blocked from making appointments for the semester. Appointments are held in the Pennington Student Achievement Center. Check our website: www.unr.edu/tutoring to make an appointment.

Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Friday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
