Core Objective 4: Physical & Natural Phenomena
Every student must complete at least two Physical & Natural Phenomena courses for at least 3 units each. At least one of these courses must have an approved laboratory component, either as a part of the course or in a separate section. Many majors require specific courses, so students should review the Physical & Natural Phenomena section in the program description. Most of these courses have a math prerequisite.
Two Physical & Natural Phenomena courses must be taken to satisfy CO4L/CO4:
- Core Objective 4: Physical & Natural Phenomena. Students will be able to explain the processes by which the natural and physical world is investigated, articulate basic principles used to explain natural phenomena, and apply scientific processes to real problems using observational or experimental methods.
