University Scholarships

Scholarships are merit awards based on academic performance or talent (such as in music, art, or athletics). There are also scholarships for students who are interested in particular fields of study, who have extracurricular achievements, or who demonstrate financial need.

First-year scholarships

New incoming freshman students who have completed all admissions requirements by February 15 are automatically considered for the new freshman scholarship programs. No separate application required. Scholarship evaluation will be based no academic information i.e. transcripts and test scores on file as of February 15th. Students must complete advanced registration by June 15 to retain scholarship offer.

College and department scholarships

To be considered for college and department scholarships, new and continuing undergraduate and graduate students must complete the annual General Scholarship Application in MyNevada.

In addition to the scholarship application in MyNevada, some academic departments may require a supplemental application to qualify for their scholarships.

Check the Student Financial Aid website for additional information.
