Undergraduate Majors

A college major is the primary field of study. Each student must declare a major before completing 60 credits.

A major program must be at least 120 credits, although some programs require more. Each major has a list of courses that a student must complete in order to graduate. In addition to these specified courses, each college may have additional requirements, such as a higher grade point average (GPA) or minimum grade requirements for individual courses. In this catalog, each college chapter has a detailed listing of the major requirements for their programs.

To declare a major, the student must meet with the college advisor to complete a declaration of major form.

For a listing of the number of credits required for degrees by college, see the Bachelor’s Degree Titles and Units Required  table.
