New Student Initiatives

The New Student Initiatives office exists to help new students transition to the University. Programs coordinated by this office include MAP-Works, Student Success Series, Wolf Pack Welcome and Orientation. The orientation program assists in transitioning and familiarizing students to the university experience and its support services. It is a required program for all new students. Orientation sessions are held during the summer and prior to classes starting spring semester. The New Student fee is included in your first semester fees. It is a mandatory, nonrefundable charge. Family members are welcome to attend Parent/Family sessions, held in conjunction with the student orientation program. For more information go to: http://www.unr.edu/orientation.
