STAT 152 - Introduction to Statistics

(3 units)
Descriptive statistics; probability models; statistical estimation and hypothesis testing; linear regression analysis; and special topics. (In order to satisfy the University Core Mathematics requirement with STAT 152, a student must also complete MATH 126R  with a C- or better or achieve a score of 27 or better on ACT, or 610 or better on SAT, or a satisfactory score on an appropriate readiness test.) (Formerly MATH 152; implemented Fall 2003.) Credit may not be received for STAT 152 if credit has already been awarded for MATH 352  or STAT 352  and above.

Prerequisite(s): ACT score of 27 or SAT score of 610 or MATH 126R  with a “C-” or better. *Credit may not be received for STAT 152 if credit has already been awarded for MATH 352  or STAT 352  and above.
