JOUR 108 - All Things Media: Design (3 units)
Introduction to design principles for media production including the basics of color, typography and composition.
Corequisite(s): ENG 101.

Student Learning Outcomes:
Upon completion of this course:
1. Students will be able to identify and analyze basic color use, typography and composition of media messages.
2. Students will be able to create simple designs for various media types that demonstrate knowledge of basic color, typography and composition principles.
3. Students will be able to deconstruct visual images to identify encoded meaning.
