MATH 283 - Calculus III

Continuation of MATH 182  ; infinite series, three-dimensional calculus.

Prerequisite(s): MATH 182 with a “C-” or better.

Offered: Every Fall, Spring, and Summer
Student Learning Outcomes:
Upon completion of this course:
1. Students will be able to calculate dot products, crossed products; find partial derivatives of functions of several variables. 
2. Students will be able to solve optimization problems. 
3. Students will be able to setup and evaluate double and triple integrals. 
4. Students will be able to work with vector fields; e.g. compute the curl and divergence. 
5. Students will be able to use integral theorems of multivariable calculus: e.g. Green’s theorem.
