MATH 410 - Complex Analysis (3 units) Complex numbers, analytic and harmonic functions. Cauchy-Riemann equations, complex integration, the Cauchy integral formula, elementary conformal mappings. Laurent series, calculus of residues.
Prerequisite(s): MATH 310 with a “C” or better.
Units of Lecture: 3 Offered: Every Fall - Even Years Student Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of this course: 1. Students will be able to work with holomorphic and harmonic functions. 2. Students will be able to demonstrate an understanding of the complex logarithm and complex roots. 3. Students will be able to integrate complex valued functions using residues.
