ME 418 - Air Conditioning Engineering Systems (3 units) HVAC requirements to produce thermal comfort. Use of psychrometric chart. Design of duct distribution systems. Equipment selection. Building load calculations.
Prerequisite(s): ME 314 with a “C” or better.
Units of Lecture: 3 Student Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of this course: 1. Students will have an ability to apply knowledge of mathematics, science, and engineering. 2. Students will have the broad education necessary to understand the impact of engineering solutions in a global, economic, environmental, and societal context. 3. Students will have a recognition of the need for, and an ability to engage in life-long learning. 4. Students will have a knowledge of contemporary issues.
