MSE 630 - Phase Transformations and Kinetics (3 units) Equilibrium and non-equilibrium thermodynamics of material phases, phase transformations, and diffusional transport processes in (and between) solids, liquids and gases.
Units of Lecture: 3 Offered: Every Spring - Even Years Student Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of this course: 1. Students will have an ability to apply engineering research and theory to advance the art, science, and practice of the discipline. 2. Students will have an ability to design and conduct experiments as well as to analyze, interpret, apply, and disseminate the data. 3. Students will have an understanding of research methodology.
