MSE 633 - Electronic, Magnetic and Optical Properties of Materials (3 units) Electron transport, elementary band theory, photonic interactions, and magnetism as it relates to the crystal lattice and the microstructure of metallic, polymeric, and ceramic materials.
Units of Lecture: 3 Offered: Every Spring - Odd Years Student Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of this course: 1. Students will have an ability to apply engineering research and theory to advance the art, science, and practice of the discipline. 2. Students will have an ability to design and conduct experiments as well as to analyze, interpret, apply, and disseminate the data. 3. Students will have an understanding of research methodology.
