MUS 286 - Advanced Recording and Mix Techniques (2 units) Location classical recording, advanced engineering editing, mixing, produciton, post production, and introduction to music industry.
Prerequisite(s): MUS 233; and MUS 234.
Units of Lecture: 2 Offered: Every Fall and Spring Student Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of this course: 1. Students will be able to demonstrate how to make classical recordings, including album editing, assembly, mixing, mastering, and printing of production masters. 2. Students will be able to explain the recording set up and acoustical design of Nightingale Concert Hall. 3. Students will be able to demonstrate knowledge of the music business including copyright, publishing, entertainment law, licensing, promotion, distribution, touring, and job searching.
