MUS 420 - History and Methods of Television Music (3 units) CO13 Exploration of the impact of the cultural environment on techniques of television music production, focusing on specific genres and eras.
Prerequisite(s): ENG 102 ; CH 201 or CH 202 or CH 203 or CH 212 ; Junior or Senior standing.
Units of Lecture: 3 Core Status: General Capstone, CO13 Student Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of this course: 1. Students will be able to demonstrate familiarity with the current state of research in media studies. 2. Students will be able to make connections between and apply theories from cultural studies, music, theater, history, and media courses in the context of your study of television music. 3. Students will be able to will be able to demonstrate their writing ability, through weekly papers and large format papers. 4. Students will be able to demonstrate experience in teaching applied voice.
