MUS 616 - Orchestral String Repertory and Audition Workshop (1 unit) In-depth study of common orchestral excerpts and development of auditioning skills through critiqued mock auditions. Maximum of 4 credits.
Units of Lecture: 1 Offered: Every Fall and Spring Student Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of this course: 1. Students will be able to demonstrate audition techniques in front of instructors and peers. 2. Students will be able to analyze the performance of common orchestral excerpts via peer-to-peer performance. 3. Students will be able to perform and interpret common orchestral excerpts at an advanced level.
