Upon completion of this course:
1. Students will be able to recognize major themes in Russia’s political history that explain Russia’s current governance.
2. Students will be able to identify and analyze the major governing institutions in Russia.
3. Students will be able to recognize major themes that explain Russia’s political culture.
4. Students will be able to examine the role of corruption in governing Russia.
5. Students will be able to evaluate the state of Russia’s human rights practices.
