PSY 481 - Principles of Psychological Assessment

(3 units)
Theoretical and psychometric bases of psychological assessment . Survey of standard test, interview and observational techniques for evaluating behavioral cognitive and personality characteristics of individuals.

Prerequisite(s): PSY 205.

Units of Lecture: 3
Student Learning Outcomes:
Upon completion of this course:
1. Students will be able to collect data with IOA assessments for a variety of topographical behaviors using frequency counts, partial and whole interval methods, latency measures and combinations of these.
2. Students will be able to conduct a preference assessment for edibles and for activities.
3. Students will be able to conduct a standard Funcrional Analysis, as well as “PAIRWISE” and extended FAs.
