PSY 439 - Field Experience in the Teaching of Psychology (2 to 3 units) Supervised teaching experience as a proctor for students enrolled in introductory-level courses. Maximum of 6 credits.
Prerequisite(s): PSY 101.
Offered: Every Fall and Spring Student Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of this course: 1. Students will be able to apply the knowledge, perspectives, principles, and types of reasoning employed in psychology as a social science. 2. Students will be able to demonstrate how the knowledge, perspectives, principles, and types of reasoning utilized in psychology as a social science may contribute to learning and human development. 3. Students will be able to demonstrate learning and teaching skills that showcase integrative thinking and the ability to transfer knowledge and skills from one setting to another.
