Basic principles of motivation. Examination of major themes and contemporary research in the field. Application of motivational psychology to special areas, including educational and business.

Prerequisite(s): PSY 101.

Upon completion of this course:
1. Students will be able to evaluate scientific and pre-scientific accounts of motivation and emotion.
2. Students will be able to analyze relations between environmental events and an individual’s motivations and emotions.
