RST 695 - Special Topics in Religious Studies (3 units) Seminar examining specific topics in religion. May be repeated to a maximum of 9 credits when content differs.
Units of Lecture: 3 Offered: Every Fall - Even Years Student Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of this course: 1. Students will be able to describe and analyze the ethical principles embodied in a particular religious belief system. 2. Students will be able to identify key elements of marginalized religious group’s experience in relation to their history, values, politics, beliefs, and practices. 3. Students will be able to identify the multiple ethical interests at stake in the history and contemporary practice of a particular religious identity.
