Development of social theory in the 20th century with emphasis on recent developments in contemporary sociological theory.

Upon completion of this course:
1. Students will be able to identify central concepts and perspectives in contemporary sociological theory.
2. Students will be able to demonstrate knowledge of major contemporary theories and critique them from diverse perspectives.
