MED 695 - MPH Capstone (0 units) MPH professional paper, final presentation and professional development. Medical School elective crosslisted with CHS 796 which is the capstone course for the Master of Public Health program. (Formerly PUBH796, implemented Fall 2009.)
Prerequisite(s): CHS 798.
Offered: Every Spring Student Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of this course: 1. Students will be able to synthesize peer reviewed research, summarize project findings, and propose recommendations for research, practice and policy using an ecological framework. 2. Students will be able to demonstrate effective oral communication skills and the ability to succinctly summarize public health findings and apply evidence-based decision making. 3. Students will be able to describe essential components of public health ethics and professional conduct. 4. Students will be able to describe their short- and long-term professional development goals and objectives.
