PED 428 - Methods of Teaching Physical Education

Designed to provide an understanding of the theories and psychological research on learning, motivation, and performance of physical activity.

Prerequisite(s): EDSC 483 or CTL 699B.

Student Learning Outcomes:
Upon completion of this course:
1. Students will be able to plan and implement appropriate class planning for the subject, age, and environment for teaching.
2. Students will be able to evaluate their execution of specific lesson plans in the active classroom environment.
3. Students will be able to develop Physical Education curriculum that integrates Physical Education with other academic subjects such as Math, Science, or English.
4. Students will be able to demonstrate the ability to manage and teach a class of 7th to 12th grade students.
