PED 466 - Methods of Teaching Adaptive Physical Education

Designed to provide an understanding of the challenges for people not only across the lifespan but also those with innate challenges to be regularly physically active.

Prerequisite(s): CHS 370; CHS 371.

Units of Lecture: 3
Offered: Every Fall
Student Learning Outcomes:
Upon completion of this course:
1. Students will be able to describe the challenges of encouraging people to become and remain active.
2. Students will be able to develop programs to overcome the challenges from above.
3. Students will be able to develop programs consistent with each person’s goals and capabilities.
4. Students will be able to promote and maintain successful physical activity programming for diverse individuals in different settings and situations.
