SRJS 720 - Social Justice Colloquium

An in-depth exploration of social justice issues and their relations hip to the economic, political, legal, and social systems in which they are embedded.

Student Learning Outcomes:
Upon completion of this course:
1. Students will be able to apply theoretical and empirical work in social justice to dominant social concerns.
2. Students will be able to analyze linkages between social justice issues as well as between these issues and their social and cultural context.
3. Students will be able to critically analyze legal and social responses to social justice issues.
4. Students will be able to examine and criticize the assumptions underlying responses to social justice issues.
5. Students will be able to describe the interests of the various voices that contribute to the definition of and response to social justice concerns.
