DAN 481 - Dance Performance II (1 unit) Advanced practicum in which students perform in, or choreograph for, a departmental dance production. Students must audition or choreographic work must be adjudicated prior to enrollment.
Prerequisite(s): DAN 281.
Units of Laboratory/Studio: 1 Offered: Every Fall and Spring Student Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of this course: 1. Students will demonstrate understanding of the performance process from auditions through technical rehearsals and public presentation. 2. Students will be able to identify the different aspects of the production process and understand theatrical terminology as it applies to performance. 3. Students will demonstrate the ability to hone their skills of performance based on feedback from choreographers and/or provide feedback to performers based on clearly articulated choreographic goals. 4. Students will be able to demonstrate professionalism in the rehearsal and performance environments and understand the different processes of preparing for performance.
