DAN 465 - Dance History II

Historical concepts, systems, traditions, and related arts of dance since 1900.

Student Learning Outcomes:
Upon completion of this course:
1. Students will be able to explain important historical periods in concert dance from the 20th century through present day and characterize the confluence of events that led to advancements during these periods.
2. Students will be able to demonstrate how their personal dance histories coincide with specific concert dance lineages.
3. Students will be able to use research tools to locate information about a historical time period; synthesize research materials and their significances.
4. Students will be able to identify significant dance artists in dance history (from the 20th century to present) and explain the contributions these artists made to the field of dance.
