Upon completion of this course:
1. Students will be able to analyze and interpret primary sources on early America through class discussions and written assignments.
2. Students will be able to analyze and understand the U.S. and Nevada Constitutions, their development, and their impact on U.S. society, including the Civil War.
3. Students will be able to analyze and clearly explain the argument, main points, and use of evidence in secondary sources, through class discussion and written assignments.
4. Students will be able to analyze the historical experiences and interactions among diverse groups of Americans through discussion, sources, and assignments.
