PAS 611 - Technical Skills I (1 unit) Technical Skills is a series of three courses designed to teach specific diagnostic skills and procedures used in a primary care setting.
Units of Lecture: 1 Offered: Every Fall Student Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of this course: 1. Students will be able to demonstrate clinical reasoning skills through assessing risk factors, identifying pertinent history and physical exam findings, and interpreting cardiac rhythms, laboratory, and radiology findings on a given scenario or case study. 2. Students will be able to demonstrate a fundoscopic exam. 3. Students will be able to demonstrate proper urinalysis procedures. 4. Students will be able to demonstrate proper microscopy technique. 5. Students will be able to describe concepts of radiography including chest, abdomen, upper and lower extremities.
