PAS 625 - Pharmacology (4 units) In this course, first year PA students cover the pharmacological management of conditions commonly seen in primary care.
Units of Lecture: 4 Offered: Every Spring Student Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of this course: 1. Students will be able to demonstrate understanding of the pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of various medications discussed. 2. Students will be able to demonstrate the ability to apply drug therapy guidelines to various adult medical conditions. 3. Students will be able to demonstrate a basic understanding of drug dosing, side effects and major drug interactions. 4. Students will be able to produce proper written prescriptions along with medication specific patient instructions.
