PAS 600 - Anatomy & Physiology (8 units) The course provides integrated foundational concepts of human anatomy and physiology utilizing a medical focus related to the clinical based curriculum. Includes directed laboratory activity.
Units of Lecture: 6 Units of Laboratory/Studio: 2 Offered: Every Summer Student Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of this course: 1. Students will be able to accurately use standard anatomical terminology in describing the structure of the human body. 2. Students will be able to identify, describe, and label the structures of the human body and explain their function. 3. Students will be able to recognize and explain the principle of homeostasis and the use of feedback loops to control physiological systems in the human body. 4. Students will be able to understand and describe the basic physiological principles of cells and tissue as they apply to a cohesive working model of organ systems and disease states.
