Student Learning Outcomes:
Upon completion of this course:
1. Students will be able to compare and evaluate different theoretical and methodological approaches to the study of history.
2. Students will be able to find and use historical scholarship and sources to investigate and make sense of contemporary human societies and behavior.
3. Students will be able to interpret, analyze, and synthesize various types of primary and secondary sources, including cultural artifacts and quantitative data.
4. Students will be able to present ideas in a clear and persuasive manner both orally and in writing, in accordance with the ethical principles governing scholarly inquiry.
5. Students will be able to compare and evaluate different theoretical and methodological approaches to the study of history.
