ATMS 746 - Atmospheric Modeling (3 units) Physical principles and methods for numerical predication of the atmosphere. Model theory and implementation with practical training using computer simulation models.
Prerequisite(s): ATMS 417 OR ATMS 617.
Units of Lecture: 3 Offered: Every Fall - Even Years Student Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of this course: 1. Students will be able to demonstrate fundamental understanding of the principles of atmospheric modeling on a variety of spatial scales. 2. Students will be able to demonstrate proficiency in the application of one or more models to predict and explain atmosperhic behavior.
