Independent study or research in selected graduate-level topics in biology. Maximum of 6 credits.

Offered: Every Fall, Spring, and Summer
Student Learning Outcomes:
Upon completion of this course:
1. Students will be able to demonstrate critical thinking skills relevant to the problems and research discussed.
2. Students will be able to synthesize orally or in writing as assessed by a presentation and/or written report significance of current topic as presented in this course.
3. Students will be able to articular verbally or in writing an understanding of the current status and societal application of special topic presented in this course.
