ENGR 241 - Statics (3 units) Static force systems. Topics include resolution and composition of forces, equilibrium of force systems, friction, centroids, moments of inertia, cables, beams, fluid statics, work.
Prerequisite(s): PHYS 180 with a “C” or better. Corequisite(s): MATH 182.
Units of Lecture: 3 Offered: Every Fall and Spring Student Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of this course: 1. Students will have an ability to apply knowledge of mathematics, science, and engineering. 2. Students will have an ability to identify, formulate, and solve engineering problems.
