CEE 420 - Advanced Portland Cement Concrete (3 units) Detailed consideration of concrete mix design; study of the effects of aggregate characteristics, mix design variables, admixtures and exposure of all types upon concrete properties; quality control and special problems related to use.
Prerequisite(s): CEE 377 with a “C” or better.
Units of Lecture: 3 Offered: Every Fall Student Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of this course: 1. Students will have an ability to design a system, component, or process to meet desired needs within realistic constraints such as economic, environmental, social, political, ethical, health and safety, manufacturability, and sustainability. 2. Students will have an ability to identify, formulate, and solve engineering problems. 3. Students will have an ability to use the techniques, skills, and modern engineering tools necessary for engineering practice.
