CEE 431 - Pavement Analysis and Design (3 units) Engineering analysis of stresses and strains in typical highway pavement structures due to loading from traffic and climate; characterization of paving materials; structural pavement designs; 3D-Move.
Prerequisite(s): CEE 377 with a “C” or better; ENGR 301 ; CH 201 or CH 202 or CH 203 or CH 212 ; ENG 102 ; Junior or Senior standing.
Units of Lecture: 3 Core Status: Major Capstone Offered: Every Spring Student Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of this course: 1. Students will have an ability to design a system, component, or process to meet desired needs within realistic constraints such as economic, environmental, social, political, ethical, health and safety, manufacturability, and sustainability. 2. Students will have an ability to identify, formulate, and solve engineering problems. 3. Students will have an ability to use the techniques, skills, and modern engineering tools necessary for engineering practice.
