CEE 482 - Design of Timber Structures (3 units) Fundamentals of design of timber structures and application to simple structures.
Prerequisite(s): CEE 381 with a “C” or better.
Units of Lecture: 3 Offered: Every Fall Student Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of this course: 1. Students will have an ability to design a system, component, or process to meet desired needs within realistic constraints such as economic, environmental, social, political, ethical, health and safety, manufacturability, and sustainability. 2. Students will have an ability to communicate effectively. 3. Students will have an ability to use the techniques, skills, and modern engineering tools necessary for engineering practice.
