CEP 780 - Law & Ethics in Counseling (3 units) In-depth exploration and examination of legal, ethical, and professional issues in the helping professions.
Units of Lecture: 3 Offered: Every Summer Student Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of this course: 1. Students will be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills related to ethical standards of professional organizations and credentialing bodies, and applications of ethical and legal considerations in professional counseling. 2. Students will be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills in ethical strategies for selecting, administering, and interpreting assessment and evaluation instruments and techniques in counseling. 3. Students will be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills related to ethical and culturally relevant strategies for interpreting and reporting the results of research and/or program evaluation studies.
