CHI 212 - Second Year Chinese II

(3 units)
Development of comprehension, speaking skills and writing proficiency in Chinese language. Completion of CHI 212 satisfies the College of Liberal Arts foreign language requirement.

Prerequisite(s): CHI 211.

Student Learning Outcomes:
Upon completion of this course:
1. Students will be able to communicate well on the topics of social life, housing rental, sports, travel and at the airport in Chinese.
2. Students will be able to read literary text in Chinese on paragraph and discourse level and respond in oral and written forms.
3. Students will be able to identify and discuss authentic materials in the target language.
4. Students will be able to express opinions on cultural topics in Chinese.
5. Students will be able to use appropriate structures and expression to produce journals.
