CHS 495 - Special Problems in Public Health (1 to 3 units) Maximum of 6 credits. (Formerly HE/PUBH 495/695; implementation Fall 2009)
Prerequisite(s): Junior or senior standing.
Student Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of this course: 1. Students will be able to read and critically evaluate relevant scientific literature in the specific topic area of the section taken. 2. Students will be able to articulate in writing or verbally and critically analyze differences between strategies reported in the literature. 3. Students will be able to describe factors that affect health of individuals and populations from an ecological perspective. 4. Students will be able to discuss public health ethical considerations in the specific topic area of the section taken.
