CRJ 491 - Internship in Criminal Justice (1 to 6 units S/U Only) Individual student internships are arranged with appropriate federal, state, or local criminal justice agencies. Regular written reports on observations and activities are required. Maximum of 9 credits.
Offered: Every Fall, Spring, and Summer Student Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of this course: 1. Students will be able to articulate their personal and professional goals in interning at criminal justice or justice-related organizations. 2. Students will be able to demonstrate how they applied and enhanced their critical-thinking, problem-solving, ethical decision-making, and/or social science or legal research skills during their internship experience. 3. Students will be able to explain their experiences in “doing justice” through a supportive role or direct participation in the operations and functions of their internship site.
