DAN 188 - Choreography: Improvisation for Composition (1 unit) Units of Laboratory/Studio: 1 Offered: Every Spring Student Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of this course: 1. Students will be able to demonstrate critical inquiry and express ideas with movement improvisation. 2. Students will be able to identify and analyze the elements of compositions through improvisational choice in performance and observation. 3. Students will be able to articulate and implement feedback verbally and performatively. 4. Students will be able to recognize and process improvisational movement approaches (such as scores, directives, chance, play, tuning and partner work) for choreographic application.
